Currently, the UN-WHO Islamabad is searching for candidate for their vacant position i.e. Technical Officer to join their team.
Job Description: Technical Officer
Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the strengthening of Health information systems in Pakistan through the implementation of the HIS action plan and national digital health framework.
Tasks:
Under the general supervision of the HSD cluster lead, the incumbent is responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following assigned duties:
- Provide technical support for the strengthening of health information systems and digital transformation of the health sector to support the country government in implementing HIS action plan and national digital health framework
- Facilitate in the designing and execution of national plans and roadmaps and digital literacy programs related to the implementation of information systems and digital health, with emphasis on the implementation of Telehealth programs and Electronic Health Record Platforms
- Collaborate with the government and with relevant stakeholders for information systems and digital health in the effective utilization of platforms, applications, and other digital health solutions, related to Electronic Health Record System
- Provide technical support in vital and health statistics to national authorities and technical programs, with emphasis on the use of new technologies for improving the management of all data cycle
- Collaborate in the strengthening collaboration with critical partners such as UNICEF, UNFPA etc, and networks that contribute to the strengthening of the Digital Transformation process in the country
- Provide technical advice to ensure the convergence of national plans within the context of the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020-2025
- Provide technical cooperation and support to improve the analytical use of public health information and civil and vital registration systems
- Participate and contribute actively to the preparation of the Unit’s Biennial Work Plan (BWP), budget and technical evaluation and reporting reports
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
