Now, the UN-WHO Islamabad is looking for a Communication Assistant candidate.
JOB Description: Communication Assistant
World Health Organization Country Office, Pakistan is seeking a professional to support in documenting WHO’s work in Pakistan. The incumbent will work directly under the supervision of NPO (Communication) and in close coordination with Technical Officer (Reproductive Health).
Summary of assigned duties:
- Photographic services will be required throughout the year, on an as-needed basis. The incumbent will provide digital photographs for production of human-interest stories, social media materials, campaign publications, and website content on an as-needed basis.
- In addition to submitting photographs, the incumbent will be required to submit photo captions as well that include names of subjects included in the photo, their age, institution and location and description of the photo.
- The incumbent may require travelling to WHO programme sites within the country and communities where WHO-supported programmes are in operation.
- The incumbent is expected to maintain professionalism and integrity while on assignment for WCO Pakistan. The incumbent should strictly follow the WHO mandate guidelines while capturing the photos.
- The incumbent will be responsible for obtaining all relevant consent (whether in written or audio format) for photographs usage from concerned people/authorities.
- The incumbent will be expected to be available for assignments on a short notice. When on specific assignment, the incumbent will be expected to deliver the following services:
- For every event photographed, digital images in high resolution shot as a RAW file and the same selection in lower resolution will be delivered/emailed to WCO Pakistan office.
- All digital photographs must contain complete caption information in “file info” and separate word format captions list. Caption information should consist of: date, place, subject names and age, and brief description of the situation photographed.
- After a shooting session, a selection of photos is expected to be edited in specialized photo editing software (e. g. Photoshop) to comply with WHO photography and image standards;
- The final sets of edited digital images (including caption information) will be delivered on portable storage devices /emailed (as requested) to concerned individual in WHO;
- Complete consent forms signed by all photo objects collected in close coordination with WHO Team.
