ABOUT JOB

Job Title: Monitoring Assistant

Grade:  G4

Type of contract:  Fixed Term & Other Contract types

Salary: Starting at PKR 145,282 per month

Number of Openings: 22

Duration:  6 Months to 12 Months         

Duty Station: Muzaffarabad and other locations across Pakistan

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent is expected to generally support the overall monitoring and evaluation functions at the project implementation sites in the field. More specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the distribution processes and conducting the post-distribution survey for various interventions of WFP and especially those of the BISP Nashonuma Programme (BNP).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Monitoring of BNP Facilitation Centres to review various processes on quality benchmarks.

2. Validation of the monitoring reports of the BNP Programme Associates.

3. Monitoring of social mobilization and social & behavioural change communication (SBCC) interventions in the field.

4. Monitoring of the overall coordination and management of FCs by the BNP District Coordinator(s) as well as the Cooperating Partner(s), as per the prescribed quality benchmarks.

5. Supporting various reviews, special studies, assessments, and evaluations with qualitative and quantitative data collection from the field.

6. Monitoring of selected villages as part of the validation exercise to make sure those are as per the listed criteria.

7. Validation of the registered participants as per provided sample.

8. Monitoring of ongoing activities (such as cash disbursement, food distribution, training and infrastructure development).

9. Preparation of daily/weekly monitoring plans and sharing them with the supervisor.

10. post-distribution monitoring of activities to record satisfaction of beneficiaries and effectiveness of WFP activities.

11. Maintain information records in accordance with the relevant data policies of WFP.

12. Receive and collate comments and feedback from cooperating partners and beneficiaries, and support identifying programmatic issues to foster efficient operations.

13. Provide guidance to the cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods to support them to complete self-monitoring tasks and to contribute to the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.

14. Report issues or discrepancies to the supervisor/programme colleagues for their timely resolution and to ensure that the distribution quantity and implementation quality of activities is in line with WFP standards. Ensure necessary coordination with the line departments at the district level as per provided guidelines and liaise with the respective CPs.

15. Report the critical field-related issues in the issues tracking sheet/SugarCRM and provide feedback for timely closure.

16. Participate in the district-level coordination meetings and provide updates and information as per the WFP policies.

17. Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
