Vacant Positions: National Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

  • NATIONAL MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER

Presently, the UN-IOM Islamabad is on the lookout for suitable candidates for their vacant position i.e.  National Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join their team.

JOB Description: National Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

     Lead the design, adaptation and operationalization of M&E methodologies and tools such as trackers, dashboards, and indicators library, to lay the ground for IOM Pakistan M&E activities and ensure coherence in the implementation across programmes;

  • In close coordination with programme support coordinator and programme managers, contribute to the resource mobilization efforts by providing necessary technical M&E input into funding proposals; in particular by developing results matrix, developing the narrative on M&E implementation, defining needed M&E budget per project and participating in donors’ meetings when required; Develop results framework to fit specific programme contexts and objectives in line with IOM and donor requirements ;
  • Review of M&E reports and analysis of programme’s impact and achievement in close collaboration with programme managers and bring to the attention on issues related to data integrity, quality and audit worthiness;
  • Follow-up on findings and lessons learned recommendations of programme reviews and evaluations and ensure they are incorporate in implementation and formulation of future projects;
  • Ensure finalization of documents and regular reports included but not limited to progress report, situation reports, briefings and background information, etc.
  • Implement quality control mechanisms to improve the quality of the collected information ensuring consistency accross the programmes;
  • Provide technical guidance and conduct trainings for targeted staff to enhance their skills in data collection, data analysis, reporting, data management, monitoring, evaluation, internal systems such as PRIMA, and raise awareness about IOM standards in M&E and ensure that they are trained in donor specific requirements when applicable, and best practices.
  • Ensure close correspondence with other organisations and coordination structures for the coordination and implementation of M&E activities related interventions in the assigned area and for common understanding of M&E standards and for the reporting to UNSDCF and other frameworks.
  • Perform such other duties as many be assigned.
