Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator’s main role is to support the Program Manager in field implementation in the respective district. The Project Coordinator in supervision of Project Manager will conduct field assessments, work planning, scheduling, and overall administration of the project to be in consistent with planned water and sanitation programme, HA policies and procedures & donor requirements.
Job Duties:
Provide support and technical oversight to the implementation of operational elements of programme activities by working closely with the government and Human Appeal Country Office.
Ensuring effective planning for projects including timely communal needs assessments and development of community engagement plans.
Provide strategic and innovative solutions for building more efficient, coordinated, and reliable programmes that lead to Better prepared communities and more responsive DRM systems in case of future disasters.
Assist in the identification of and liaison with key stakeholders who can contribute to broadening and deepening the outcomes of the project.
Ensure effective project closure and lesson learned workshop is organized with participation of all stakeholders.
Ensure quality NFI schemes are implemented in the project closure phase with focus on community resilience building
Undertake field visits for assessing quality field implementation of program activities and take corrective measures where necessary.
Lead project teams for identification and selection of interventions for communal and schemes and capacity building activities.
Address and solve problems that might arise between the community and Project teams, or among community members, during and because of the implementation of the project activities.
Document success stories, case studies and other reporting documents as required by the Programmes Manager.
