- PROJECT ENGINEER
Currently, the Penny Appeal International Sajawal is on the lookout for a Project Engineer to join their team.
Job Responsibilities: Project Engineer
1. Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of project construction materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
2. Develop Drawings, design, and preparation of BoQs accordingly of the project components.
3. Analyze infrastructural designs and BoQs proposed by community and Donor organizations and provide recommendations; Assess the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
4. Supervise the process and progress of the project through periodic visits.
5. Compares the actual cost of the project with the estimates.
6. Analyze equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
7. Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
8. Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
9. Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
10. Supervise and support the technical team of the project.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
12. Review feedback received from field and ensure its standard as per SOPs for submission to PM;
Required Experience/Skills:
a. Three (03) to Five (5) years of proven experience with National and International NGOs
b. Three years of experience in monitoring and evaluating WASH in emergencies, PATS, Low-Cost Sanitation Technologies, and development projects.
c. Having high-level computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, data management, infographics)d. Excellent report writing, case studies, project briefs, and infographic skills.
e. Having excellent knowledge of Beneficiaries and program participants Safeguarding.
f. Awareness of UNICEF operational policies and procedures desired
g. Experience working with UNICEF is an added advantage.
h. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
i. Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.
j. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
k. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
l. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
m. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
n. Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements
Travel Requirement:
The job requires approximately 60 % to 80 % to travel to carry out assigned responsibilities within the coverage area (District Sujawal). Traveling to field areas is a significant responsibility organization candidate must be willing and able to travel.
