LADY HEALTH VISITOR
Currently, the MSF – France Peshawar is searching for candidate for their vacant position i.e. Lady Health Visitor to join their team
JOB Description: Lady Health Visitor
The LHV is responsible for providing maternity and neonatal caser under the direct supervision of the medical doctor, ensures the neonatal resuscitation and early postpartum follow up of women. The LHV is responsible for providing routine nursing care for neonates including first treatment after birth, assistance of neonatal resuscitation and routine care.
Key Responsibilities:
ANTENATAL CARE
Provide ANC care and follow up of patients according to doctor’s prescription and respecting the patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
Perform basic screening, general examinations, monitoring and recording vital sings.
In case of emergency, conduct normal deliveries under the supervision of Medical Doctor/Nurse.
POSTNATAL CARE:
Routine nursing care of neonates including first treatment after birth, routine care and assistance with neonatal resuscitation.
Screening for malnutrition status.
GENERAL:
Health Promotion and education.
Medical documentation of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum. Compilation of weekly and monthly data.
Reporting of complicated cases, suspected sexually transmitted diseases and notifiable diseases to MD/MAM.
IPC:
Ensure compliance with universal hygiene standards and infection control precautions at all times.
Perform cleaning and essential sterilization of equipment.
Ensure proper medical waste segregation and management.
