SENIOR SALESFORCE DEVELOPER
The Islamic Relief InternationalIslamabad is now seeking for a Senior Salesforce Developer.
JOB Description: Senior Salesforce Developer
Reporting to the Salesforce Solutions Specialist, the Salesforce Developer will be responsible of implementing and maintaining key Salesforce systems that serve our global stakeholders. In addition, this role will specialize in reporting/Business Intelligence and be responsible for the development, optimization and maintenance of reports for our business intelligence solutions. This role is expected to contribute to Islamic relief’s technology and architectural design.
As part of project teams comprised of business systems analysts, developers, external vendors and project managers he/she will take a lead during the delivery of technically sound business solutions. As a member of the Applications team, the Salesforce Developer will mentor junior members and also provide technical leadership on Salesforce Systems. The role has no direct budget responsibility but will be required to input into budget decisions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic relief values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff.
1. Solutions design and Systems implementation.
• As part of a project team to maintain/update existing Salesforce Systems to meet business needs.
• Design, implement and maintain a variety of salesforce systems to automatically synchronize data across different IRW systems.
• Ensuring all new and existing solutions integrate and operate within the Islamic Relief technology landscape and architecture.
• Management of change requests, plan and rollout of new features and bug fixes.
• Understanding the underlying business requirements for solutions as provided by business analysts and translating these into final solutions.
• Interact with the users at divisional and organisational level including IR partners to inform, assist and resolve relevant technical and business-IT integration issues.
2. Configuration Management, Support and Maintenance
• To provide support and maintenance for a range of Salesforce Systems.
• Responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of the Salesforce systems.
• To provide regular reports on the progress of systems implementation and project milestones.
• To interact with third-party external service providers to resolve issues. This includes working with our preferred partners to help fulfil change requests, new implementations and issue resolution.
3. Problem Solving and remediation.
• Analyse and resolve issues and faults in any existing salesforce systems and provide remedies accordingly.
• Interact with third-party external service providers to resolve issues.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of Salesforce systems.
• Responsible for troubleshooting, error handling and carrying out day to day technology administration tasks.
4. Technical Documentation
• To ensure full documentation exists for all the salesforce systems and technology solutions. Document changes, enhancements and solution roadmaps.
• To contribute knowledge base articles in areas of expertise to help and support ICT team capabilities and learning. This includes taking the lead on salesforce systems.
• To ensure all salesforce solutions are appropriately documented to maximize supportability, scalability, availability, security and performance.
• To contribute knowledge base articles in areas of expertise for team knowledge and learning. This includes taking the lead on salesforce systems and contributing articles to help first line support colleagues to quickly resolve issues relating to your area of work.
5. Service Delivery
• To ensure all work is completed according to industry standards and current best practice.
• To ensure full documentation exists for all the developments and configuration work completed.
• To comply with organisational policies and standards (ITIL, SLA etc.)
• Willingness to travel sometimes internationally and work outside normal office hours.
Personal Qualities
• Aptitude for quickly grasping new technical concepts & problem solving.
• Ability and motivation to travel to UK and internationally.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Desirable
• Salesforce developer certification(s).
• Experience or familiarity with DevOps and cloud ETL tools.
• Experience or familiarity with Conga, TaroWorks and OwnBackup.
• Experience of working with External vendors.
