Presently, the Islamic Relief International Mirpur Khas is on the lookout for suitable candidates for their vacant position i.e. Community Development Officer to join their team.
JOB Description: Community Development Officer

Technical:
- Identification of most affected areas in the district in close coordination with local administration and stakeholders.
- Capacity building of the community members through orientation and in-house training.
- Resolve conflict among the target community through effective dialogues.
- Identification of beneficiaries for multiple project interventions i.e. MPCG, NFIs, WASH, Livelihood, and Advocacy.
- Assist the Senior Project Officer in the identification of multiple assessments of project activities.
- Assist the Senior Project Officer in identifying the beneficiaries for assistive devices for families, having persons with disabilities.
- Assist the AA Safeguarding Protection and Inclusion Officer in conducting orientation sessions for Dignity Groups established at the community level.
- Identify the targeted communities
- Assist the Psychosocial support officer in identifying and conducting individual/group-based psychosocial support sessions.
- Assist project leads in identifying the locations for the establishment of women and child-friendly spaces in the project areas.
- Assist project leads in field monitoring visits
- Ensure inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups in project interventions.
- Properly maintain a record of project activities at the community & office level both in soft & hard form with pictorial views.
- Organize advocacy-based events at the Tehsil and District level.
- Ensure strong coordination with the stakeholders.
- Conduct regular meetings with community groups and ensure community ownership in project activities.
- Provide data to maintain a regular database system of project monitoring and evaluation.
- Consult with the project lead(s) regarding appropriate adjustments in program design or implementation strategies.
- Assist and facilitate project staff at the field level for smooth implementation of project activities.
- Develop case studies/success stories to reflect project impacts.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly work plans.
- Ensure the timely submission of activities reports (weekly and monthly).
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Conduct regular field visits in the field and in the office for reporting
- Weekly and monthly reports.
- Perform any task assigned by the project lead as and when required.
Operational
- Development of work plans for timely implementation
- Surveys, Data Collection & report generation
- Record management – field visits, CO meetings, beneficiary data, etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP systems
- Communication, Planning & Scheduling, Time, Stress & Conflict Management, Situation handling, Leadership Skills, People & team management
Organizational:
- Demonstration of IR Values while working with communities
- Empowering communities to ensure organizational accountability
- Knowledge of IR strategic priorities
- Identification & documentation of organizational successes
- Adaptation of environment-friendly & cost-effective approaches/activities for community development
- Special attention to inclusion during the implementation.
- Strengthen mechanisms to influence the decision-makers through communities’ advocacy & campaigning.
