Currently, the UNFPA Islamabad is on lookout for a Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Analyst to join their team
Job Responsibility: Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Analyst
Planning and Monitoring
- Actively participate in the preparation/development of workplans, including identifying a set of programme performance indicators for workplans and adjusting, as necessary;
- Coordinate with implementing partners and key humanitarian programme stakeholders the collection of data for the indicators of the humanitarian programme implementation based on the UNFPA SIS milestones, including donor projects and related indicators.
- Create a system for collection of baseline and database on key Sexual and Reproductive Health and Gender Based Violence (GBV) indicators for the humanitarian programme;
- Set-up and maintain a practical system for oversight and monitoring of the performance of implementing partners and document lessons learned;
- Track and analyze key annual programme indicators, and provide regular reports to the humanitarian team, and the CO management to inform programme and management decisions;
- Monitor and assess overall progress of the programme on achievement of results and sustainability of the programme results;
- Contribute to the development of field monitoring frameworks and monitoring calendars;
- Contribute to specific risk assessment exercises and update risk registers;
- Ensure that primary beneficiaries of the project are involved in monitoring the programme and carry out monitoring and assessment exercises with gender and inclusion lens.
Assessments , Evaluations and Reporting
- Facilitate learning from the results of monitoring and evaluation and contribute to knowledge development, documentation of good practices, and sharing of knowledge products;
- Make recommendations for improving the monitoring and evaluation practices.
- Contribute to drafting of high-quality terms of references for programmme/project evaluations, rapid assessments and hiring of consultants.
- Facilitate mid-line and end-line project evaluations as required to see the extent to which the project has achieved or is going to achieve its pre-stated objectives;
- Lead preparation of quality and timely reports on humanitarian programme implementation under the various fund sources as part of the corporate and donor reporting systems.
Capacity Development
- Prepare a capacity building action plan and relevant tools in support of strengthening the capacity of implementing partners and humanitarian stakeholders in results-oriented monitoring, operations research and reporting;
- Ensure that national partners are aware of monitoring and reporting requirements and have access to related learning resources;
- Contribute to the development, harmonization and introduction of monitoring and assessment tools, modules, working papers and guidance note for project partners and stakeholders.
