- EDUCATION OFFICER
Currently, the Muslim Aid International Loralai is now searching for a Education Officer to join their team
Key Responsibilities: Education Officer
- Overall responsible for the implementation of the project activities, reporting, and coordination.
- Coordinates activities of staff, consultants, and/or volunteers engaged in the implementation and administration of program objectives.
- Manages and facilitates program activities, including classes, training, conferences, seminars, and/or other special projects.
- Monitors and administers program/project budget vs actual expenses and plans with the team for under and overspent.
- Support in developing new proposals and concept notes in close coordination with the education specialist.
- Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of course catalogs, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the project.
- Lead the capacity-building program on teacher training, child protection, and Project Cycle management as well as developing related manuals and guidelines.
- Represent MAP in different coordination forums and meetings taking place at district and provincial and country levels.
- Regular coordination with the education cluster and other technical forums and line departments at the district and provincial levels.
- Develops and maintains records and databases on student and program activities, materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Support team in designing different enrolment campaigns and other educational activities.
- Oversight of the education project in Jhang and ensuring close coordination with the concerned line department.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
NETWORKING AND COMMUNICATION: Education Officer
- Build relationships with local authorities, regional departments, local associations, and various stakeholders at the district level.
- Regular follow-ups for NoC and permissions for smooth operations at the district level.
- Ensure regular and effective communications are maintained within the field team and with the Country office.
- Liaise with the communication department at the country office in presenting and furthering Muslim Aid work
- Promote MAP social media and online presence.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY
- Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure effective financial and budgetary control of the programs, according to MAP policy and procedures.
- Ensure corrective measures are taken to address over/underspends in the project budgets.
REPORTING
- Prepare Field Visit reports and evaluation reports of the project and ensure a constant communication system is being set in place with the country office to update all project progress.
- Prepare, promptly, monthly, quarterly, and completion reports on the project’s progress, following the MAP requirements on reporting, and submit them to the Head of Programme at the country office.
Compliance with Organization Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to organizational policies/procedures including finance, human resources, security, procurement, and logistics; and ensure staff compliance.
- Participate in professional development activities, as needed, or assigned.
- Provide efficient supervision and management for all direct reports and lead the establishment and functioning of a strong, effective, and coordinated team.
- Oversee the orientation of project staff.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or country director.
