JOB Description: M&E Officer
“We are urgently looking for a skilled M&E Officer (Health Project) to join our team for a health project aimed at enhancing maternal and child health outcomes. The M&E Officer will play a critical role in monitoring and evaluating the project’s progress and impact to ensure it meets its objectives effectively.
Experience in the Health project is compulsory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the project, ensuring alignment with the set objectives and targets.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data to measure project outcomes and identify key insights.
- Prepare detailed and timely reports for stakeholders, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement based on data-driven insights and contribute to strategic planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Gates Foundation and the Project Manager to ensure that project goals are met and all donor requirements are fulfilled.
- Develop and implement M&E tools and methodologies to track project performance and impact.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities, validate data, and assess progress.
- Ensure all M&E activities comply with relevant guidelines, ethical standards, and data privacy regulations.
- Support capacity-building initiatives by training project staff on M&E processes, data collection, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within health-related projects.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel) and experience with M&E software.
- Proven experience in preparing comprehensive reports for donors and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with working with international donors, especially the Gates Foundation, and understanding their M&E requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in conducting field visits, data collection, and validation.
