CARE International Sujawal is currently seeking a Education Officer to join their team.
JOB Description: Education Officer
“1- Education Portfolio Management and Quality Assurance (35% of time)
- Implement strategies to enhance access, raise teaching quality, and improve learning outcomes for marginalized children, especially girls and children with disabilities.
- Oversee needs assessments, project monitoring, and data analysis to inform decisions and ensure program quality.
- Design and deliver capacity-building initiatives for project staff, partner organizations, teachers, and Parent Teacher School Management Committees (PTSMCs).
- Adapt educational resources, promote blended learning, and support the introduction of new teaching approaches.
- Emphasize gender equity and inclusion throughout all education initiatives.
- Ensure thorough project reporting to donors and partners, highlighting impact and lessons learned using quantitative and qualitative data.
2- Resource Mobilization, Program Development, and Evidence-Based Practice (20% of Time)
- Establish and nurture partnerships with NGOs, government, academia, and the private sector to advance innovative educational solutions.
- Participate in relevant national and policy-level forums, promoting CARE’s education agenda and contributing expertise on evidence-based best practices.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to develop compelling project concepts and proposals for potential donors.
- Lead research initiatives that emphasize evidence-based practices and policy influence, informing CARE’s work and the broader education sector.
- Organize external learning events and expert panels to showcase CARE’s thought leadership within the field.
3- Representation, Advocacy, and Organizational Learning (30% of Time)
- Represent CARE in education forums, building strong relationships with donors, government, partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Advocate for policy changes and educational improvements in alignment with CARE’s mission, leveraging evidence and data to strengthen your positions.
- Identify case studies and research opportunities that can be translated into actionable strategies, enhancing our impact.
- Work closely with other program units to explore new funding streams and expand education initiatives, both in existing areas and new geographic regions.
4- Staff Development, Safety, and Other Duties (10% of Time)
- Support staff capacity building, mentoring, and well-being initiatives.
- Adhere to CARE’s Safety & Security Principles and ensure a safe working environment in all project activities.
5- Other responsibilities as assigned (5% of time)
- Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and programming needs as assigned by the Line Manager.”
