Now, the Mercy Corps International Islamabad want to hire a Project Coordinator to full fill the vacant position.
JOB Description: Project Coordinator
General Position Summary:
This position will be responsible to oversee the implementation of the outreach camps through portable Xray machines. S/he will be responsible for developing technical and operational guidelines, assist Data Management and M&E team in developing related tools and will support Sub-Recipients (SRs) in the effective implementation of the project. S/he will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of camps as per the approved monthly work plan. S/he will review the monthly progress reports, will identify challenges at the pilot stage and suggest modifications in the implementation for scale up, if required.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Provide technical and operational support to the SRs in all matters related to outreach Xray screening camps
Ensure the timely submission and consolidation of monthly work plans of SRs for the Xray screening camps.
Coordinate with SRs to ensure timely basic and refresher trainings of all Xray technicians on the standardized guidelines for using portable Xray machines and conducting outreach camps
Ensure timely hiring/re-hiring of Xray technicians in coordination with Senior Program Manager (SPM) Case Finding.
Contribute in the development and refinement of operational and technical guidelines and M&E tools for Xray screening camps
Coordinate closely with ACF, ECF and TPT teams for planning of the camps to ensure all identified hot spots are covered
Lead the implementation of the pilot of Xray screening camp, develop a comprehensive pilot report for dissemination among key stakeholders and donor
Provide regular updates on the pilot project to the supervisor to seek timely support and guidance in case of any modification required
Modify the guidelines/strategy based on the pilot results
Develop a comprehensive scale up plan in coordination with SRs and SPM Case Finding
Ensure timely collection, review and consolidation of monthly progress of the Xray screening camps in coordination with data management and M& E team
Conduct periodic field visits to review the performance of the camps and that they camps are of high quality and are organized as per the guidelines, with special focus on hotspot identification
Coordinate with TPT team to ensure maximum household members of registered TB patients are receiving free of cost Xray screening facility to exclude active TB and initiate TPT, if eligible.
Ensure the portable Xray machines are functional all the time and field teams are provided with timely support for their maintenance and trouble shooting
Ensure that Recording and Reporting tools are properly maintained with correct and complete information for all camps.
Ensure that field teams are following safe guarding principles while conducting these camps
Conduct monthly on-line meetings with field teams to identify challenges and decide way forward to address the challenges timely. Conduct these meetings with the support of data management team for a deep dive review of all indicators.
Support in developing technical documents, guidelines and presentations for internal and/or external meetings.
Participate in SRs district level quarterly review meetings randomly
